Financial Aid, Fees & Scholarships

You're encourage to apply for scholarships through the University system Scholarship Universe. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis using a range of criteria such as academic achievement and financial need, which means there are scholarship opportunities for just about everyone!

The College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences (CALES) has more than $700,000 in exclusive scholarships to award to our students. Applications for these scholarships are open January-April and there are many others available through the University during the year.

All students are eligible to apply for federal aid by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Contact the Financial Aid Office for more information. Dietetics majors who are members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics can apply for scholarships and other financial aid offered through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation.

Your Nutritional Sciences Student Fee at work

Nutritional Sciences majors are required to pay a $250 program fee per semester. This fee is automatically charged with tuition, was approved by the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) and is used to fund valuable student services which would not be possible otherwise:

  • Academic advising: we’re here to support you during your time at university and beyond through the Student Nutrition Advising Center (SNAC), which offers educational materials, models and equipment.
  • Faculty: we offer evidence-based, quality education on topics that will prepare you for your future career.

Financial Need Program Fee Reimbursement: Students who submit a FAFSA and who meet the university’s criteria for having “unmet financial need” through their financial aid package may be refunded all or part of the program fee, after it has been paid with tuition. Refunds are take place no later than one semester after a fee is paid (exact timeframe cannot be guaranteed).
